I can understand SOME need to verify injury/illness before sending out checks, but every veteran should be able to get care without question.

1. I was a VA patient for 13 years before I had any service-connected medical problems. My wife has also been getting VA care for many years now. None of her medical have been service related. So, the concept that a Veteran has to prove service related is not true.
2. IMO, the major problem at the VAMCs is funding. They follow the rules set by Congress.
3. This document seems to be more an endorsement for Pete Hegseth than anything else.
