APOD: 2024 August 16 - Meteor Borealis

Good Red Friday morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the August 16th edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). Today's single exposure comes to us from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and was captured in the early morning hours of Monday, August 12th, 2024. With the ongoing aurora borealis managing the stage lighting, you see the Big Dipper in the background highlighting a bright Perseid meteor. Definitely a nice catch.
