Walz is a very interesting pick. He is a real believer in Socialism and further Left that Bernie Sanders. It will be interesting to see if he will remain true to himself and remain an unapologetic Socialist, or try to appeal to the masses. Either way I believe their goose is cooked. MHO

LTC Eugene Chu believes Trump's weird Analogies will hurt him. I disagree. Harris/Biden Accomplishments will be hard to support in a debate.

Who cares about silly names? Not me. The big item is Walz's policies and what he believes. Like Harris he has a very long history of creating and supporting Socialist Policies that are not popular with our people. In my opinion this was a very bad choice by Harris. Her best choice would have been Josh Shapiro, he is very sharp even though I don't like his politics. Shapiro probably said no to Harris. I doubt he wants to be connected with a failure like Harris. Make no doubt about it, Shapiro will probably be our president some day, but not this year.
I believe Chu blocked me some time ago, I truly can't remember and don't care.

Apparently Walz is an embellished of his military record. But our progressives here will defend his record.

LTC Trent Klug - LTC (Join to see) He was 14 years in the National Guard at the time of his DUI... It's hard to understand how in the following ten years of service he could have been promoted as far as he got with a DUI on his record.
A DUI can result in the removal of a service member from the United States military. Every military branch has different ways of punishing DUI charges, with possible consequences including demotion, pay deduction, and mandatory alcohol and drug counseling.
It's even hard to enlist in the Army National Guard with a DUI...
Officially, all United States Armed Forces branches have a zero-tolerance policy for those convicted of felony crimes and some other offenses. These crimes include driving under the influence, also called driving while impaired or intoxicated in some states.

1SG Dean Mcbride (MPER) (CPHR) In the grand scheme of things I care nothing about Walz.

What I care about is he's misrepresented himself. He touted his record as a CSM and told everyone he's the highest ranking enlisted person to serve in Congress, so naturally they think he retired as a Sergeant Major. He didn't. He retired as a Master Sergeant. The reason he retired as a MSG really doesn't matter. Everyone has issues.

As for the DUI. In the early 90's a DUI became a career killer. He pled his down to a reckless driving. The Minnesota Army Guard apparently was okay with that and I got it. Not my state and obviously his command was okay with his serious lapse of judgement. Apparently they had zero loss of confidence in his abilities.

The reason I bring it up is because he's the campaign 'we love the military' token now.

Walz explained that calling Trump “weird” is an observation and not a derogatory tag like “woke”. The issues are from lack of substantive policy proposals and continuous irrelevant references like Hannibal Lector. Trump attempted to portray himself as an innovative outsider, but appears more like an outdated misfit.

LTC (Join to see) - Meanwhile we lead the way in new energy technologies. A bad place to be is to start doubling down on technologies that are going away. We can let other countries setup their infrastructures to chase those.
