If you are truely concerned about deaths at the border and not tarring Abbott and other Republicans a few quick facts. The drug cartels control our Southern Border not the US Government. As Trump was leaving office in 2020 border deaths swelled to 227, a record. In 2022 under Biden and the Democrats border deaths were 853. Murders, rapes of women and children and human trafficking have all increased under Biden and the Democrats. Remember when separating Children at the border was such a crises under Trump? Well 84,000 child migrants can’t be accounted for under Biden. On the Mexican side mass graves have been filled by the Drug Cartels. I am glad the main stream media is finally paying attention. It does seem that the story is over blown with the drowning on the Mexican side of the border. I remember when border patrol officials were accused of whipping migrants.
