After reading this story Brother Dale, it sounds like she has a pretty good case not only against the captain but the whole Military Sealift Command for several reasons, like her superior telling her not to report the rape.

I hope, if he's found guilty, he pays the price. Preferably keel-hauling. She didn't deserve to be attacked.
