Another Fredericksburg (with an "e"). Frederisksberg, Texas is home to the National Museum of the Pacific War. Considering that it is 3,188 miles from the Pacific, it may seem an odd place to have the museum... It is mainly there because Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet during World War II was born Feb. 24, 1885, in Fredericksburg, Texas. He died Feb. 20, 1966, near San Francisco. The museum is well worth your visit. A plus factor can be found in all the wineries in the area! https://www.pacificwarmuseum.org/
