1.) I am for holding people on death row for a number of years until their appeals have all been exhausted. There is no need to keep an individual locked in a 4x6 box for 23 hours a day with very limited visitation from outside...that in itself is cruel and unusual punishment. Execution is better than living that life.
2.) Don't care if it is humane or not...his victim didn't get that vote. He was convicted in the 1988 murder-for-hire slaying of a preacher's wife!
3.) If that spirirual advisor wants to stay that close and has been warned then so be it. It is his choice...what they don't tell you is they are in a sealed room to protect the others outside so that the gases can't escape and the witnesses are safe. If he wants to be in the sealed room then ok.
4.) If this doesn't work fire up ole sparky!
5.) I have no sympathy for how he dies just carry out the execution.

A witness doesn't have to watch if they don't want to. If they do watch it, the 'harm' they experience is minimal compared to what the victim or victims felt.

Excellent post. Thank You for sharing this shipmate. So I guess that the Holocaust was a safe event. Alabama needs to get their priorities straighted out first. :-<
