Trudeau questioned by veterans on pensions, Omar Kahdr
Prime Minister Trudeau was questioned on the Omar Kahdr payment and veteran pensions in an emotional moment during his town hall event.Subscribe to CTV News ...
This video was hidden in my last posting but it shows a former Canadian Corporal reaming prime minister Trudeau for making a settlement with Omar Khadr, an American Boy Soldier terrorist who killed an American Soldier and blinded another, and gave them 8 million dollars United States dollar or 10 million Canadian because he was water boarded.
The soldier really reamed prime minister Trudeau.
This guy was with Princess Patricia's light Infantry Regiment. I'm sure some of you have worked with them on exercises or even in Afghanistan. This guy is probably 100% disabled but yet he can't get good service from the Canadian VA because they play favorites and give millions of dollars to one Child Soldier but can't make a settlement with many wounded soldiers who survived. We have had many Canadian soldiers commit suicide as well.

No, there is not a moral comparison between how they treated prisoners and how we do. But that is not where the comparison should be.
What is the moral comparison between how we SHOULD treat prisoners and how we DO treat prisoners?
Are we still engaged in "hostilities" with Afghanistan? No? So I guess we should be releasing any Afghanistan theater detainees. And the Iraq theater detainees should have been released a decade ago. Saying we cannot release them because we are still engaged in the global war on terror says we never need to release them. The GWOT will never truly end, there will ALWAYS be terror SOMEWHERE.
And yes, waterboarding DID meet the international definition of torture at the time it was utilized.

LTC Trent Klug
I spent almost a year as a company commander at Camp Delta, from July 2004 to April 2005. We had six companies comprised of Airman, Marines, Sailors, and Soldiers. My company had MIARNG, CARNG, NJARNG, an Air Force Reserve SP squad, and a active duty Air Force SP squad attached at various times during those 10 months.
In my entire time there, not one person came to me or my Lieutentants and said they had seen anything remotely associated with torture. My company personnel were all throughout the detention facility. That is I had people working Camps 1 thru 4, Camp 5, Camp Echo, and Camp Iguana.
My civilian job was working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. There was zero mistreatment of detainees, but I know of all kinds of assaults on MPs done at least once per day by the detainees.
There are detainees there still being held in pre-trial and pre-sentence status. I have zero problems with that because quite a few of the released detainees went back to fighting our forces. I have no doubt they are planning to attack us or our allies again.
I also have zero problems with bring held as I was personally told that when a few of the detainees were released they would hunt me down and kill my family and me.

Next, those say give them reparations.
This Child Soldier I actually met doing my deliveries in Edmonton. He is in his thirties. The Canadian government gave him over 10 million dollars or 8 million dollars United States dollar because he was waterboarded. He was given his treatment somewhere in europe. He killed one American sergeant and blinded another with a hand grenade. The conservative government under Stephen Harper wasn't going to get him anything except his freedom but prime minister Trudeau gave him a bunch of money. He seemed like a nice guy but it's creepy I didn't tell him at the time that I was a major in the US Army Reserve.

Another development, a Canadian soldier who was disabled and lost part of his foot was complaining to Trudeau on why Trudeau couldn't help make good settlement with him and other injured veterans but made a deal with Omar Khadr.
As you can tell, he tapped dances just like President Biden and his public affairs officers do when they are caught and put on the spot.
This happened here in Edmonton.
