Ham told KSHB 41 that a major trend right now in KC is the theft of firearms from personal vehicles.
"Particularly outside of entertainment districts, sporting venues, places where firearms are not allowed to be carried in the state of Missouri," Ham said. "Those parking lots have become real targets for criminals to break in, looking primarily for firearms."
Ham urged gun owners to be more aware of how they advertise they may be in possession of a gun.

Good points, car safes with a tether will make it more difficult for thieves do they may move on.

Lt Col Charlie Brown the only time I leave my firearm in my vehicle is when I go to the VA Clinic. with a LTC (license to carry) allows me greater latitude to go more places. If a facility doesn't allow it then they don't need my money

grrr what happened to the edit button? I keep a gun safe in my vehicle to secure gun. The tether goes across the whole box

People who have the good sense to carry everywhere else occasionally want or need to go into places where guns are prohibited.
