Bio
I was born in Brooklyn by Prospect Park. I grew up riding horses for a bit here & going to 'Camp Friendship' in Maine with the YMCA where I learned to shoot, sail & 'dig up mussels to cook with butter-lemon sauce.' I worked with my Dad, went to NYU, was in the Marine Officers Program until injured, married in California, now an Actor (& caregiver to Mom). I'm a Level 7 Local Guide on Google Maps!
Military Experiences
Site Chief - (two or three times)
I was trained in Georgia to operated Satellite Vans. It included advance party to find suitable sites. Our main focus was JTF / Atlantic Command.
Joining the Marines was sometimes the best thing I had ever done (& always in the top five, always). I even learned how to brush my teeth better (among many other things).
Like touched on in another section, I had reached E-4 & was sometimes the 'Site Chief' out in the field. I knew how to break down & set up the antenna to acquire the Satellite by heart at that point. We were told to [stick our 'tongue in one hole & our ___ in another' to 'get comm up' (if Necessary)] <heheh>. Only a tech knew more about the van than me.
I joined the 'Marine Officer Program' on Long Island (tests at Ft Hamilton, BK) while at NYU, I dropped due to injury.
Deployments
Reservist Duty
I participated in 'Battle Griffin,' Norway, I stayed about 28 days instead of 2 weeks. My unit was 'destroyed' about 3 hours into it. SatCom is a 'high value target.'
I participated in JTF / Atlantic Command & went around the country a good little bit as well. Not 'too' far from home but never close enough to drive & sleep in my apt.
