David Staples: Rachel Notley's greatest strength could cost Albertans dearly

Edmonton is the city of 1 million people 8 hours north of the Montana border. Alberta and adjoining Saskatchewan are the equivalent of Texas and Oklahoma of Canada. Our royalties subsidize the broke corrupt provinces that hate our oil and natural gas but want our subsidies to pay for their social spending. So going that zero will basically cut their own throats. Even with losing so much money by this balance of payments agreement with the Canadian government taking the majority of the royalties away and dispersing them over among the broke provinces, we still managed to not have a sales tax. Canada has a flat 5% GST or federal sales tax while other provinces at 7 to 9.75% more on top of that.

Alberta has a Federal only sales tax of 5% total while with broke Quebec, it's a total of 14.75% for every dollar you spend. That's what I call a socialist Utopia tax and spend province of Quebec!
It looks like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is going to be the Gavin Newsom of Canada. Gavin Newsom is the governor of disastrous California and he is running the state into the ground on issues other than trying to pay $1.2 million dollars per African American for slavery that did not exist back in California. Rachel Notley is a socialist in Alberta who was the Premier AKA Governor a few years back and still holds the position in the Alberta legislature.

Just as we predicted. I put this on American Military social media as well as showing that going green and NetZero while China allows for permitting of many coal-fired power plants destroys the Narrative of the Eco- left. Recently Senator Kennedy of Louisiana put on the spot a Department of Energy Biden hack who couldn't answer him on how much temperature would go down if we put $50 trillion dollars toward climate change which used to be called global warming and which some purposely scare the youth and call it a 'climate emergency'. The Earth is warming but what we do may only make one-half of 1° Centigrade temperature even if we pulled all the stops and that would take 50 years to do that.

The USA is only 17% of the problem yet Canada the USA and the Europeans are going all out and getting rid of fertilizers, going green, and destroying the economic well-being of our societies for a boogeyman that is less threatening than our enemies of Russia and China.

I am paying carbon taxes of $20 or $30 a month on my natural gas bill. I also pay carbon taxes on my gasoline as well though I think the province of Alberta has suspended it for a while because of the high prices. They do give you some rebate but I know the government gets more money than they get back.

It's a tax and spend scam and I know California has something similar. Canada is a test bed of bad socialist ideas.

Progressives will say that there are a bunch of other excuses that the world is going to end in 10 years if we don't do drastic changes.

Scare Tactics to put the population in line but they end up destroying the country from within by activist politicians who want to Virtue signal yet they fly all over the world once or twice a year to prove how they're doing so well in climate change but yet they circled the globe five or six times in one year to prove their dedication to their climate emergency!
