It really pisses me off when I read about a female soldier who was sexually assaulted become a victim all over again by their units. There is a pattern to the cases.

Considering that we must take care of the soldiers and the significant negative publicity, then we must attack this problem. If I had the power I would make sexual assault cases a priority for the CGs. The CG will make crap roll down hill to the company level.

I would then create independent agencies on posts to conduct the coordination of the cases and tracking them from start to finish. The agencies will track the actions of the units and give the status of the cases to the CG. It is obvious that the system can be very broken as companies sometimes retaliate against the victims in the current environment.

I don’t know why the Army is not forthcoming in fixing this problem. The negative strategic message of these failed cases is significant especially in a situation when recruiting is not good. It’s not f@cking rocket science. Making the CGs accountable will make crap roll downhill.

I agree sir. And it doesn't help that there are different standards of UCMJ for different ranks.
