Once upon a time the GOP stood for less govt. where the Govt would not presume to undercut the individual’s use of his/hers God-given free will, whence derives their right to be free from...arbitrary governmental/political actions.

I am a libertarian, I dislike both parties. The problem that I have with the left is that they want to curtail the rights that we all fought and bled to defend and up hold, especially the Second amendment. The right to keep and bear arms is set in constitutional stone and the left would do away with that so long as the "Right" to Abortion, the "Right" to genitally mutilate children, and the "Right" for people to engage in what until thirty years ago was considered Deviant behavior is upheld. Oh Yes, and they can redistribute wealth on an unprecedented scale.
The desire of the far left to take over is not to make anything better but is fueled by a desire to seek vengeance upon those that are in power now or have some perceived advantage on them.

Republicans have sealed their fate. Some of Gen x and Xennials are fed up. Millennials and Gen z are almost strictly voting dem. The old conservative vote is dying out and republicans know it.
