Nearly six months after top civil rights lawyers said the program violated federal law, Pfizer has opened a minorities-only fellowship to applicants of all races in the wake of a discrimination lawsuit. Between Feb. 14 and Feb. 18, according to web archives, Pfizer quietly dropped the requirement that applicants to its Breakthrough Fellowship be black, Hispanic, or Native American. The program, which offers recipients guaranteed employment with the pharmaceutical giant, is now open to all college juniors with a "demonstrated commitment" to "diversity, equity, and inclusion." New application guidelines state that "you are eligible to apply for the Breakthrough Fellowship Program regardless of whether you are of Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, or Native American descent."

Just another false uproar over " equity " to cancel out a program that was giving a break for minorities to advance not only because of race but skill.
Ever notice that the only image to survive the brand images being " racist" was a white " William Penn on the " Quaker oats" products..?
Not one person of color was spared as a brand identity pic.
It seems, no advantage is allowed to bring a better chance at a middle class job opportunity to deserving People that check the boxes for ability and knowledge to otherwise do a professional job with proper credentials.
We have religious and other programs and scholarships, we have Legacy scholarships, we have other types of opportunities to gain a hand up.
But few are just " racist" or anything associated as exclusionary... funny that.
