The gender bias in healthcare treatment remains a significant problem in the United States. A study from the Journal of Women’s Health found that middle-aged women with chest pain were twice as likely to be diagnosed with a mental illness as their male counterparts.
The problem is worse for Black women. A 2020 analysis of 3 million hospital patient admissions found that Black patients and under-represented minorities received up to 10 percent fewer early treatments for heart problems than white patients.

Lt Col Charlie Brown That is so true as a woman's symptoms of a heart attack can be without chest discomfort. Arms,back,neck,jaw or stomach pain or discomfort may be the only symptoms a woman is experiencing.
Then there is its all in your head response and of course the one I got last week "that women were a mystery " just goes to show that medical education is all about taking care of the male. We are left out.

This is true. There are false beliefs out there that impact the medical community...like "women don't have heart attacks" until they are in their 60s and beyond...
