Guess we were a little slow but got caught up in Aircraft production by the end of WW2 and probably didn't get again on a quality tank until Abrams.

Interesting share. I knew we weren't making very planes for the war effort. It shows the mentality was still ground forces and big gun Navy.

As I recall the Wright brothers received lots of offers from foreign powers to help develop their air forces since America wasn't too interested.

MSgt Robert "Rock" Aldi 100%, as well the Wright Brothers taught Hap Arnold to fly - no license then either.
