Anyone that has followed My posts for a while knows, I'm all about the .17 since I was introduced to it. Particularly the Savage A17 SA. According to this article the .17 has a roughly 70yd. advantage over the .22mag. As I've said before if you're going for tree rats take the .22, there won't be enough to put in the pot with a .17.
