This is why people complain (rightfully so) about elections in our country

I'm shocked. Not. Funny how they 'overlooked' the votes on this stick. This is why people don't trust elections.

I'll bet the winner after the found votes was the 'progressive' candidate.

Actually, she's a conservative*.

However, this is absolutely no way to run an election. Apparently there have been a lot of issues - other misplaced/mislabeled memory cards, uncounted absentee ballots, etc.

The reason this one flipped is that before the added votes, she was only a few votes behind according to the (previous) recount and the votes were from a Republican stronghold (KE3A voting precinct).

As Lt Col Charlie Brown said, this is why people complain about elections.

I'm really not a fan of Oregon politics, but my wife and her family are from Oregon for three generations back. I became an Oregon resident after getting married, went to OSU for a couple of years, actually went through the AF ROTC program there, but that's a whole different story.

However, I liked the way they did ballots, especially during my 24 years of Naval service. There were no polling places, everyone voted by mail-in ballot. These mail-in ballots were mailed out months before hand, to those properly registered in an Oregon county. If your ballot was not received by election day, oh well, you had your chance, it was not counted. No joy in procrastination there.

Granted, with all the issues of elections for the past few years and the extreme craziness of Oregon liberalism, I'm sure things have changed since I became a Missouri resident 6 1/2 years ago.
