This whistleblower called out VA about counselor burnout

that's sad but the VA doesn't have enough therapists to handle all of us and there are more Veterans enrolling in the mental health careline, something has to give and it's a shame. When I worked before retirement, I had 45 minutes face time with Veterans and 15 minutes to write notes. When leading groups, I had 1 hour face time and then write notes individually on Veterans in the group. I had my last session with my therapist yesterday as she retires today. It's tough for both sides. I haven't had any but I'm sure some get trained by the VA then go into the private sector because of this reason and for the better pay. I don't know why I'm rambling on; I just know both sides of this challenge coin. Sorry.

This is disturbing, why does Washington act slowly and so aloof! Everyone says, thanks for your service to those who served! But, won't act in Veterans best interests!
