Looks like some very comprehensive testing for various types of game. Personally I love my 30.06 but in Ohio hunting with a rifle is restricted to Straight Wall cartridges or Black Powder, between the two I love Black Powder. I have a Modern rifle and this sure isn't Daniel Boone's flintlock. My Buddy and I using charts and varying powder charges came up with a Powder, Sabot, Bullet combo that is good to 200 yards without any adjustment for distance. Trajectory starts at 2.5 inches low, raises almost 5 inches and at 200 yards hit 3 inches low.

I have a flintlock and tried to shoot it three times...never fired all three times...my error though as I was trying to go off written word versus someone showing me how to shoot it. I will get around to it soon.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth I got more satisfaction harvesting several deer with my black powder rifle than when I used my .06.

I still shoot my 30.06 that my father gave me when I was 15...hasn't missed yet. My father-in-law has a .308 and I have shot it with the federal rounds and like them. My daughter has a 6.5 Creedmoor and it shoots solid as well...three shot three kills!

My best .308/7.62 ammo is my own. (I "roll" my own.) Tough getting components these days now that ammo earmarked for 87,000 new Biden Storm Troopers has all but dried up the ability to do much reloading.
