This is wrong. It was wrong under the Trump administration and its wrong under this administration. I know the FBI said they aren't doing any more, but I don't trust them one bit.

Coming from an LTC? Not trusting the FBI that is... Here... lets add some more credibility to not trusting the FBI. I served 38 years in law enforcement work, up to and including the highest level achievable in the law enforcement career field.
I agree with you, But I can tell you when that trust went to shit... about the year 2000. That's how long its been going on and it has progressively (kidding-progress BS) been getting worse.
And that's when I was a Chief of Police in 2000 when I discovered the Free Battery Included Club was going to politically motivated shit.

SSgt Clare May Why is it so surprising coming from a LTC? The vast majority of us, I mean those who've served not just LTC's think for ourselves.
I spent 21 years with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, retiring in 2014. I trust some individual FBI agents, I don't trust the leadership from ASAC on up in any field office or at the Hoover building.

Its the validation factor LTC. Your education level and experience making a point for others to consider. You, with other LTC's with the same thoughts on a Federal Law Enforcement Agencies leadership and its apparent political divisive direction.
I've had several LTC's who I served under that I had the utmost respect and admiration for. (LTC Charles Piver being my favorite, RIP) LTC's are the movers in our services... Not many Generals work the front line every day. Full birds usually are married to a desk. LTC's in my humble opinion are the educators with enough power and respect already earned and proven to lead.
I'm surprised one person isn't on RP making a comment or three about this same agency. Retired General Flynn, or for that matter... a few stars here and there. Must be the training they received that...shy's them away from potential political conflict.
When you can add, similar feelings from a middle management non-com, who happened to be successful in the civilian workforce to the highest level, aka a star not a bar...and in a law enforcement career setting? There must be something to your thoughts of the FBI as well as mine... creating a foundation...built on a reputation, experience and education, book and real life...and the goal would be?... to initiate a change within the FBI from those of us on the outside of the FBI.... and hope it will be for the better.
