Same old, same old.
There are have many, many different efforts over the years to improve the communications and information sharing between the government and industry (ISACs, CIPAC, etc.. - too numerous to name) and they always never seem to quite get to where they need to be.
Most start off strong and then start to dwindle for a variety of reasons - members don't see the value ... 'standards' are difficult to adhere to, implement, or cost too many resources for a voluntary change, etc.
Don't get me wrong - there has been a lot of progress over the years, but from my experience with a few of those organizations when I was working with them is there is a lot of discussion, some high-level policy goals, but not a lot of concrete implementations.
This doesn't mean we should stop striving for better, but sometimes you don't have as much hope it will be resolved after seeing the six, seventh or more time it's been tried with the same old players. You still keep swinging at the pitch though because one of these days someone will knock it out of the park.

I know what you mean; my son was a CyberCmd government employee for the past three years.

Quick and easy. Key words and phrases, upticks in volume from locales , and, of course facebook fact checkers. The last one just to make sure information gets politicized, then withdrawn. That way one will know what the mantra is as well as the purpose of facebook reviewers.
