LTC Trent Klug - Reforger 81 my unit 2/48 inf. carried something like this on the sides of our M-113's. We had bundles of 3 or 4 inch PVC pipes. They were long enough that they ran the length of the APC on the drivers side. We only used them once, we pulled up parallel to the tank trap and cut them loose. After the whole company dumped them in we were able to cross with no problem. There was some bounce going over them. IIRC after everyone was across most of the pipes were broken and couldn't be used again.
