Soldiers from the Indian army have landed in Russia for a week-long military exercise, India's defence ministry said on Thursday, days after the United States said it had concerns about any country exercising with Russia now.
The Indian government said that its forces have regularly participated in multilateral exercises in Russia, along with a number of other countries. Russia is the biggest supplier of military hardware to India.

India is designing, manufacturing, testing and commissioning indigenous ground, air and sea national defense assets, which will replace aging Russian acquisitions. The Tejas LCA Mk II will replace the Fishbeds, Mirages and even the MIG 29s and SU-30MKIs. The AMCA will be added advantage over Indian skies and across the Indian Ocean. The INS Vikrant has been commissioned into the Indian Navy as the first indigenous aircraft carrier. There is another aircraft carrier under planned or in development along with an advanced boomer.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, India, I think, is playing its cards very carefully by not antagonizing Russia, yet keeping the west hungry for alliances with India on a variety of trade agreements, to include military assets, wheat, IT and others.

Russia, China and India are expected to take part in strategic wargames in preparation for wartime. India has only agreed to send a contingent, since Russia has been and continues to be a major Defence and Space partner.

SGT Charlie Lee, yes, but it has been non-committal on the issue of the Russian invasion in order not to strain its alliance with Russia. India sends C-17 Globemaster IIIs to Slovenia, Poland and other countries surrounding Ukraine with aid returning to India with Indian citizens who were stuck in Ukraine due to this war.
