“They Drive by Night” is a great 1940 oldie with Humphrey Bogart, George Raft, Ann Sheridan, Alan Hale, and Ida Lupino. Two brothers, Joe (Raft) and Paul Fabrini (Bogart), are delivery-truck drivers who push themselves hard trying to run their own delivery business. When a fatigued Paul falls asleep behind the wheel one night, demolishing the truck and losing an arm, Joe takes a job at a truck company. Big trouble starts when the owner’s wife (Lupino), falls for Joe and will do anything to get him.

I was familiar with certain of Bogey’s more well known films, ie Casablanca, African Queen, Maltese Falcon, Key Largo, Treasure of Sierra Madre, To Have And Have Not, and his other well known gems, but never noticed this one till the other day. SSG Michael Noll
