I am not defending the attacks the protestors committed on the police that day. They were wrong to do it.
That said, the trained 'professionals" of the Capitol police were very much out of control and hey should face charges just like the protestors. They are supposed to be held to a higher standard and they got away with some very serious abuses.

The people who went into the capital on Jan 6, should not have gotten violent but the Capital Police didn't help the situation. And Ashley Babbit's killer has never been charged.
