In Canada, it's okay to have Merry Christmas on buses and they have nativity scenes at government courthouses or City Halls. Something that would drive the atheist left crazy

People say Merry Christmas in the US like all through December - actually I'm pretty sure Christmas stuff goes up in major stores in November. Practically the day after Thanksgiving.

See some of us just realize that Christmas isn't the only holiday in December...that's all. But yes US Christians are SOOOOO persecuted in this country. *eye roll*. Give me a break.

You do realize the US is NOT a theocracy and that Christianity is NOT the only religion practiced here right?

Is it a win for Christianity? Because now this means a teacher of ANY religion can pray with their students. So let's not hear any bitching when a Muslim teacher prays five times a day in their classroom.

Capt Gregory Prickett - How so? The ruling is a win/win for humanity and the Constitution, which expressly allows FREEDOM of RELIGION. Specifically, FREE EXPRESSION. Common law suggests there is something called 'Separation of Church and state,' but there is no such language in the Constitution. The liberal atheist left want you to believe any public mention of Christ is illegal. It is not. But like all public speech, it can be reasonably restricted.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - You misinterpret the decision. Try reading it first. The decision does not say it's OK to pray publicly in school, that is a question for local authorities, who have the right to set the place, time and circumstances for speech. Americans also have the right to challenge those rules. Although there is no such thing as 'separation of church and state,' a liberal atheist myth, in our common law there are reasonable restrictions on speech.

MAJ Montgomery Granger It's already been ok to pray in public schools for any student as long as they aren't a distraction and staff weren't allowed to solicit or lead.

Now this allows coaches or teachers to pray around students. Before they couldn't and the ruling was made on bs. The coach wasn't praying privately. At all. He was praying loudly and even invited athletes on his team and the opposing team to join. So now this ruling says anyone can do that.
