Hurry up and wait...never changes
And sleeping anywhere as well...although it seems to get more creative over time...

SPC Lyle Montgomery - The General apologized to me for it. He was truly an Officer and a Gentleman. I was promoted a month later, and he came back to our small base to personally put my SP4 pins on me, and give me a letter of Commendation for what I'd done with the TV station that Depot wouldn't even visit.

SPC Lyle Montgomery I've had excellent experiences with the VA all over the country since retiring more than 30 years ago.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - Some parts of Florida had a lot of useless people who needed fired. At that time, you couldn't get rid of them.

The photo that caught my eye is the one of a soldier burning something in the cut down 55 gallon drums. I believe that he is burning shit. It was a detail that a lot of us had in Nam. It looks similar to a photo that I took of a buddy burning this stuff. My photos are on the internet, maintained on a website by another buddy. the website is alphaco.us

I had the privilege twice while going through training at the Americal Div. Combat Center before being sent to C/3-1st Inf. in the 11th LIB on Hill 4-11 near Quang Ngai City.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - I never had to burn it, just make sure it could be broadcast on our AFN radio station!
