I don't want to comment simply because there has been so much out there that isn't true, it's impossible to sort through. IF and this is a big IF, he can get a fair trial, that would be okay but I am not convinced having seen our justice system at work lately.

I hear you. As imperfect as our justice system is, it is still the best there is. Julian Assange is indicted for conspiracy to steal classified information that when he released it cost the lives of of several undercover agents and put over a hundred more in jeopardy.

Assange is guilty of no American crimes.
As a media producer, he had freedom to publish. As a non-American he had no duty to protect that information. Many of the people who supplied him information broke laws, committed crimes. But Assange did not. And he has ZERO obligation to give up his sources.
A government which is willing to prosecute people for the "crime" of exposing the GOVERNMENT'S lawlessness is not a government worthy of the support of the people.
