I think many of those fights are NOT winnable, at least right now. They have already been lost, and denying this is no better then the people who want to deny biology.
No, the battle for the classroom has been lost, as has the battle for prisons and female spaces. They are Crimea. We can state that the loss of the battle is horrible. We can state that we protest the result and do not recognize the victors as rightfully occupying that space. And we can, hopefully, at some point in the future, reclaim those areas. But not admitting that we have lost them is folly.
