My PERSONAL Rules of crisis hand gunning and shooting.
#1. "If you dont like the damn thing your not going to shoot the damn thing with confidence or worth a shit, buy something you like and it feel good in your hands" (confidence building aka trust)
#2. "If you ever find yourself in a battle or a gunfight, and you dont have any other option, pick it up what you can find and hopefully you haven't been a dickwad and never learned how to operate it" (never stop learning shooting platforms).
#3. "Shoot the threat until the threat stops shooting at you". (Better upright and breathing than horizontal and under unless your in a sniping prone position or you enjoy being the center of attention at your funeral)
... eh those are 3 good ones... I got more...lol...

I never thought about counting my calibers, but here goes (Not counting multiples in same caliber, black powder or "scatter guns"): 7.62, 5.56, .50-140, .22 LR, .22 Short, .44-40, .45 LC, .45 ACP, .44 Mag/Spl, ... I think that's nine (unless I've forgotten one or two). I reload all the center fire caliber and cast my lead bullets for some of them. Life is good!!!

Interesting article SGT (Join to see). I did have to laugh when it came to the .357 Mag. I used to have two wheel guns in that caliber. I love shooting it in the New Model Blackhawk, hated shooting in a SP 101. There is not enough hand grip to handle the recoil in the SP 101, in my humble opinion. I sold the SP 101.
