Thank you my friend LTC (Join to see) for posting the perspective of Jared Isaacman "a billionaire and astronaut, may be the only American individual to own a MiG-29 — the Russian-built fighter jet line that has become the center of an international diplomatic conundrum in the global effort to aid Ukraine.'

To be honest the skill of pilots and their ability to coordinate with others in flight, etc is more important that any particular person's perspective.
The USA has world-class SEAD pilots and wild weasel type aircraft while the Russians seem to have never needed this capability [since WWII]

I've been for giving the MiG-29s to Ukraine from day one but I think we may have passed the point where they will be effective. The failure of the Russian Army on the ground has led to the use of more stand off weapons fired from the air and sea. Those systems do not enter Ukrainian airspace to release a weapon so now the emphasis needs to be on systems that can destroy a warhead in the air. Those systems exist, the Soviets had very effective SAMs, I trained to evade them, so I'm leaning more towards giving those Soviet era SAM'S to Ukraine along with the long range air defense systems we've already announced.

Jack this makes sense since the Russians can fire surface-to-air missiles from their territory and hit and hit Ukrainian fighters not to mention low level air defense artillery and manpads can get them as well.. One has to also remember how we got here Joe Biden's foreign policy a continuation of Obama's shit show.

The Obama and Biden foreign policy failed to see a Ukraine war with Russian. Russia invaded Crimea in February 2014. Obama was against sending lethal aid in its overall support of Ukraine even after Russia took Crimea. Biden was Obama's point man on Ukraine - yet Biden was more concerned withholding aid in order to get a prosecutor fired than Ukraine's national security.

You may say Trump did the same regarding Hunter, but as Jen Psaki recently stated in a press conference when asked about Hunter's laptop emails - "Hunter doesn't work for the government." Meaning his business dealings in Ukraine as a US citizen are subject to investigations pertaining to corruption and or money laundering. The laptop and emails have been verified as real. Thus why Hunter is still under a criminal investigation.

As such its not surprising that Russia invaded Crimea when Obama was President and are now once again invading when Obama's point man on Ukraine is President. Biden is responding exactly how Obama did when Russia took Crimea.

Besides being behind the curve in Ukraine Biden's foreign policy is being directed in other regions by Russia. Like Iran nuke deal and China. He's way worse at foreign policy than Obama.
