Saying oil is bad and then begging for oil from despots, monarch’s and communist thugs isn’t an energy policy. I have pointed out that America has not built a large capacity oil refinery since 1976. We run at capacity now. We export oil to be processed then import the products. Why don’t we have oil fields set aside on federal land to be tapped in emergencies and energy disruptions? Oh green energy will end fossil fuel. Not for decades. We have 1% electric vehicles on the road and about 100 electric semi’s. A relative leased an electric vehicle 8 years ago. Electric cars have made minor inroads into the car market since then. There were subsides and perks for him leasing it. Once the incentive went away he got rd of it like a babies filled diaper. I asked my congressman why we can’t be at least as adult as the Boy Scouts and be prepared. It isn’t like economic and social calamities don’t occur, could we prepare a little?
