This opinion piece, coming out of Sacramento CA, is pure tripe. Lies and racism abound. I get the impression that the author is trying to blame Black-on-Black gang violence on the 2A. He would rather His(He's a black man) Brothers and Sisters, go unarmed and in fear for their lives, huddled up in their section 8 housing. His premise is that the gangs are able to get guns because the 2A exists, while neglecting that the gang guns are mostly illegal and that the older bangers are using the younger ones as pawns in their turf wars. I'm not Black, the only major discrimination I have known in my life was because of the length of my hair during the 70's, I did get a couple of guns pointed at me back then but was able to talk them down. So maybe my Opinion on this topic is misinformed, but I am a thinking mature adult, able to read and parse gang related stats provided by LE agencies around the country. And, as an American Citizen I have the 1A that tells me my opinion is as importent as anyone elses and I have the right to express it.

You are deflecting and article does not mention Black-on-Black gang violence. The author's argument is that minorities do not get treated the same as others when it comes to Second Amendment.

Homicides in which ‘Stand Your Ground’ is used as a defense are 10 times more likely to be ruled justified when the shooter is white and the victim is Black than when the shooter is Black and the victim is white."

IN a "Shall issue "state or a "may issue"? I want to see WHY they were rejected, perhaps felons? Domestic violence conviction? AFA "Stand your ground" and "10 X more",blah,blah blah,,,,,one, there's PLENTY of white folks in jail right now, charged with manslaughter and murder, who claimed "Stand Your Ground". FYI, it is NOT "I was in fear for my life!". It is, "If I didn't shoot him, he was going to kill someone",,, AND, EVERY witness will testify to that. THAT is "Stand Your Ground". NOTHING ELSE.
