I have no thoughts on this rifle in particular. I just wanted to comment on the resurgence of the long gun in .30 caliber, no matter the platform. People are figuring out that while plinking around with .223 is lots of fun the .308 gets the job done.

I seldom comment if my name isn't included among those invited, but my appreciation for 7.62 x 51 began at Ft. Polk in January of '69. There's been no resurgence on my part as I have owned an M-14 for as long as they were publicly available. I would've taken mine to the Gulf War if I had been allowed to. Incidentally, if you are savvy to the world of the last full size battle rifle, mine was converted to M-21 specs by none other than Joe White. You true aficionados will instantly know of Joe (R.I.P.).

I don't own anything in the 5.56mm NATO chambering. On the other hand the 30 caliber is well represented.
