Madman? No. Unstable mentally and emotionally? Very likely from the public evidence we've seen and heard so far.

Americans have this innate need to attempt to psychoanalyze someone they do not understand. It is both ridiculous and completely irrelevant. Putin has threatened the United States several times recently with Nuclear war. Americas response has to been to rationalize the threats as a bluff without looking at his violation of just about every weapons use treaty and arms control treaty Russia has signed. We better wake up and realize this guy is both capable and highly likely to pull the Nuclear trigger against the United States and we need to be preparing for that scenario now instead of waiting for it to happen first.
