SFC Edward Carter is portrayed in the wonderful Medal Of Honor series on Netflix. You should watch the series as they accomplished the impossible. I got goosebumps watching the series.

I believe SFC Edward Carter took out two decent sized machine gun nest by himself. I believe he was wounded. When he returned to friendly territory, he had a few POWs and had already interrogated them in German upon his return.
