This early New Wave band was actually from Athens, Georgia. Some of you probably remember hearing them in 1979 or seeing them later on Saturday Night Live or other shows. My local rock station kroq-fm in California played them way before they made the top 40.
The B-52s Single FUNPLEX was recorded in 2007 and released in 2008. It what as high as number 14 on the Billboard Hot dance club play. Some of you must remember B-52's with Dance This Mess Around, party out of bounds, Rock Lobster, Love Shack and other songs of theirs.
I actually like their early stuff with songs like Planet Claire and Dance This Mess Around.

Love the B52s! There was nothing like flying air assault missions in Panama singing "Roam" while hanging out the side of a Blackhawk with only a cargo strap holding you in.

Cool pic. Didn’t know cargo straps were used. We just sat on the edge of the Huey and I quess g forces held us in. Never forget my first ride and asking “Where’s my seat?”

SPC Joseph Kopac We had half a platoon's gear and men in each blackhawk. The cargo strap saved my keister a couple of times.
