If you ain't got a Pilot or Crew, it's awful hard to fly folks around. As contagious as this new variant is is anyone surprised lots of people have it? Thankfully it does not appear as serious a health issue as the first waves.

While reporting has increased exponentially, cases of those hospitalized or deaths have decreased dramatically. With the easier methods of testing, and reporting of cases the numbers of those hospitalized and deaths present a more authoritative analysis of the effects of COVID. If this was presented to the public, perhaps we would not see the panic.
The studies from the times are generally the same as those of Mayo Clinic when looking at the same end-of-day reporting date.
The data for the airline flight crews not showing up for flights due to the Asymantic tests is not available. They must stand down for five days should the test reveal the threat of COVID. This resulted in the 6,521 flights being canceled in just over 6 days in the United States.
