Canada kicks Boeing from jet competition, narrows search to F-35 and Swedish Gripen

It will take Canada a long time to get up to speed. President Biden is 'back' he leaves the defense budget flat (but goes for Green projects that are not national security concerns) and soon in a decade we (the USAF and the USN/USMC may be taking parts off of static displays again.

Canada does not put 2% of GDP towards defense. It puts a lame 1.39% towards Defense. Its last true Destroyer the HMCS Athabasca went to the breakers in December of 2017. It was rusting out. I expect that Canada will take its sweet time to get its Royal Canadian Air Force up to speed. It recently bought used F-18s from Australia so it is flying or using parts off of fixer-uppers. I read that the Swedish Grippen does not have the Link-Sys system so how can it speak to other aircraft like the F-18 or the F-35 if a Global Hawk is not around to translate? I am a retiring Army Reserve Colonel who loves Aviation. I would love to retire next to an Air Force Base or Municipal Airport. That's pretty pathetic LTC (Join to see) ! That Forbes chart is scary. The closest NATO partner is Greece in terms of GDP. POTUS Trump had the correct read on this sharing-the-load responsibility. It's time for us to do what needs to be done WITH our partners sharing their fair-share of the burden.

President Biden is back but he in, in my opinion got paid with money from Hunter Biden to approve rushes Nordstrom 2 pipeline and reject our Keystone XL pipeline. He is an stupid and blames OPEC for the lack of oil in our economy when he purposely sat there in day one and pencil whipped no fracking on Federal Land and a restriction on oil leases. He did it to himself and he's going to pay with his Democratic party going into the toilet this next November 2022. In the meantime, our defense budget is flat and we can't even get a true budget because we keep kicking the can down the road on these continuing resolutions because we can't get to an agreement because this stupid president makes climate change the biggest existential threat not Russia, not China, not North Korea or Iran but Gulf Delta climate change so let's put Taiwan has something important but by windmills and green infrastructure from China is a priority and forcibly put the oil companies out of business by putting in a Marxist finance minister. The next infrastructure package will mandate Banks to not give money to oil companies.
