And remember corporations don't actually pay taxes, everything is a pass through to the consumer...

A statement that should be automatic everytime "Tax the Rich" is mentioned. No sane person ever filed their taxes without leveraging every tax loophole they possibly could.

Yes and no. What many folks do not realize is that these big companies are often given tax incentives by the very elected bodies that are pushing this rhetoric. What they also do not cover is the amount of money said company gives to the local communities and businesses where they reside. They bring employees who buy things locally and often increase home ownership in the area, things like this. So before we as a society demand they "pay" their fair share, we need to peel back the onion and look at what they do for society and how they benefit from being apart of said community. So in a way, they do pay their fair share just in a different way.

CW3 Michael Bodnar - They're definitely lining the pockets of politicians, and that needs to stop... that's nothing more than legalized organized crime. In Finland, 80% of elections are paid for by the government and negative advertising on tv is illegal. America has turned into dirty politics. When the CEOs are getting 50 million dollar bonuses and the employees have to work for a year to get one week paid vacation, it seems like the balance is out a bit to me.... The working class is getting the shaft in the USA, and they have been for a long time.... I lived in Europe for 15 years as a civilian and I have seen first hand how blue collar workers get 30 days paid vacation a year, women get a year maternity leave, and wages are higher, so it's not like corporations can't afford to treat their employees better, they just don't legally have to in the USA. I'm voting for Corporations and the top 1% to pay an escalating percentage of their earnings in tax. This formula creates a society with happier less stressed people with a higher quality of life.
