How many of you remember seeing this before your local TV station play the national anthem and then went to the Native American test pattern?
I love this video High Flight and touched the face of God.
I remember seeing this video when I was about 10 years old in 1972. I never realize that it was a t-38 jet trainer. I didn't know that it had been in service since 1959. I also did not know it was super Sonic. I still believe Nasa uses them as a Chase plane. Since most astronauts have been Pilots themselves, it was not unusual to see them flying these during the various NASA missions.

No station I watched showed this, all I remember is the national anthem followed by the indian, followed by static.

I believe it was from KTLA Channel 5. It was the first TV station in Southern California and the first to show live in Atomic Bomb Blast from Nellis.
