Let these people out themselves for who they really are. This guy has no business in a role of protecting the public safety, much less be in a leadership position.

You stated:
"you have a responsibility to protect yourself- the end"

Interesting idea. I don't suppose you'll mind if I drive drunk near your family members then? Are you sure our only responsibility is to protect ourselves?

Apples to apples SPC Ford.faxed or not faxed; you have a duty to protect yourself to the level you see fit from all those you deem a risk in relation to covid.
You drunk analogy is ignorant, hence this is what we are facing.

The choice should be at the individual level, NOT MANDATED BY GOV NOR PEER Pressure ( or ignorance).

CPT Christopher Stanco - The problem is we have a pandemic. A contagious disease. A person's choice on vaccination or refusing to get tested doesn't only impact that person, but everyone around that person. Just like driving drunk. It's not that I might kill myself, I might be enough of a a$$hat to take people with me. Just like that LAFD Captain might.

CPT Christopher Stanco - There is this thing in the civilian world called a "condition of employment." If somewhere in his contract or bargaining agreement it is in there, then you have a choice accept, quit, or if possible, retire. I would refrain from referring to someone as ignorant when your comment may show some as well. As for B. Franklin's statement, while motivating, it is not law.

CPT Christopher Stanco - Correction deflection, Pfizer is now approved. Moderna is not far away. And General Washington did not have an approved Small Pox vaccine, but he ordered variola to be conducted. So your argument and facts just became pretty moot.

You miss the point- like most others as well. That’s ok.

There is a saying: Ignorance is bliss.
