Military medical support personnel deployed to four hospitals in Mississippi, Louisiana

At the request of the State of Mississippi through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), 20 military medical personnel have deployed to Jackson, Mississippi, while another 20 will deploy to Tupelo, Mississippi.

The military personnel, including nurses, respiratory therapists and medical doctors, will support the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson and the North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo in Tupelo.

For LTC Charlie Brown;
That "Humanitarian aid in our own country" is because some people have preferred make COVID political and refuse to wear mask or get the vaccine. Now they are paying a dreadful price. (Notice how this is mostly in "red' states?)

PO2 Russell "Russ" Lincoln - I agree...I am for the vaccine but the facts are that even if vaccinated you can catch, get sick, and even transmit the virus. Some folks believe that since they have had the shot they can do anything to include not wearing a mask...guess what they are wrong...we will never get back to pre COVID days IMHO...get used to it and lets at least try to eradicate it...if we get vaccinated, wear masks, sanitize, social distance etc well then that's all we can do...there is nothing left physically we can do to prevent.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth The same was said about Small Pox, Polio and
several other diseases. As more is known about this virus we will be able to develop more effective vaccines and treatments.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - A recent study is finding that some people do not generate the antibodies after vaccination. Not the fault of the vaccine, just the fact it did not work on the individual. Some of the younger patients <40 are showing characteristics of the 1918 Pandemic with spikes in their cytokine levels that overwhelm the system. Why that age group and not in others? No one knows yet. Don't blame the vaccine, some people are going to die vaccinated or not.
