He has already made thousands of, normally law abiding, citizens criminals. Everyone, in NY, who owns what the state government deems "assault rifles" were supposed to either turn them in, register them, and have them modified as per the SAFE Act . Of the estimated 1-3 million "assault weapons" in the state 0nly 44,000 were registered, according to 2014-2015 figures. Apparently, many Sheriff's departments outside the metro area decided to not enforce.
