Good info for first time to the range. My range is a bit different, it is an indoor range with great heating and A/C. There are a good number of 25 yrd ranges for handgun, shotgun, full auto rifle and rifle. We also have a 100 yd range for rifle only. You can rent a suppressed 50 cal. But the rounds are expensive.
Our range requires you to watch their safety video, either on your PC or at the range.really nice facility with a good store and classrooms. For members there is a members lounge with coffee and other beverages and usually some snackd.

Here in Southern Middle TN, I have been disappointed in most of the out door ranges in My area. I've been to 1 that had an RSO. Several have red and green flags that lay on the ground and the shooters don't know what they're for. I have on occasion taken up the mantle and stopped shooters from walking Down range to set up targets while another is shooting. Physically the ranges are nice looking and offer a lot of diversity in target selection and distances, there's just very little safety thought involved.

SGT (Join to see) when I lived in Warner Robins I had joined an outdoor range, there was a lock on the gate that everyone had the combination for. Unregulated. I was working with boy scouts on their rifle shooting merit badge. 2 other guys came out and were about 7 sots down from us. I worked out that when either of us called out to cease firing so we could check targets. The first time I called cease fire they heard me and stopped, until I was downrange checking target. Then they fired again. I strapped on my handgun and walked back to their station and let them know the next time I called cease fire and went downrange, if they fired again, I would return fire. That ended the nonsense.

SGT (Join to see) Just like Golf, it is not the clubs, it is the time on the practice range.
