A lot of evidence to say that they don't work. But...it doesn't meet the political narrative.

Thank you my friend Sgt (Join to see) for posting the interesting hypothesis that the widely used cloth facemasks "do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help PREVENT SPREAD of COVID-19."
A. The aspects of this supposed study indicating that medical face masks do not reduce the risk of being infected by virus seems spurious.
B. The risk to long-term cloth-mask wearers has been debunked for the general population.
BLUF. Stanford University Research has no links to any study of this nature.
Since this has been debunked according to AP news to be a red herring that was not produced by Stanford University I decided to do a little research.
1. Baruch Vainshelboim is employed by the Rabin Medical Center · Pulmonary Institute is Israel. He has a PhD.
2. Yes the hypothesis is posted an NIH. {[https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7680614/]}
3. Hypothesis does not indicate fact - it does indicate a scientific approach.
From my basic research this is a trojan horse designed to make gullible people the butt of jokes or worse.

LTC Stephen F. The conclusions of this study made sense. Masks can be counterproductive for a number of reasons, esp getting I’ll from them; Breathing back in our carbon dioxide, ie our wastes, would be toxic if not deadly to us over time.
Dr Baruch Vainshelboim has worked in the Cardiology Division, Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System and has had an affiliation with the Pulmonary Institute, Rabin Medical Center, Beilinson Hospital, Petach Tikva, Israel. He obtained his Ph.D. (Universidade do Porto) in clinical exercise “physiology in pulmonary rehabilitation.” Vainshelboim sounds educated enough to weigh in honestly on the relationship between health and masking.
