Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. I can't think of a more appropriate time and topic than tranquility right now.
When things are most in an uproar around you, that's the time to reach down and find that place of calm within so that sensible decisions can be made and actions taken. If you don't have that space, you should take the time to develop some sort of practice, hobby, downtime that you can use to recharge your batteries so to speak or eventually you will simply run out of emotional energy to deal with the every day frustrations. No one can healthily be "on" 24/7.
What is your place of tranquility/calm/peace and how can you access it?

My peace and tranquility is going for a walk in my woods if I don't want to travel far. Sitting back and just watching nature, the squirrels (natures acrobats), birds, deer and the occasional fox cross my path puts my mind at ease to figure out whatever is bothering me at the time.
If I have a lot of time I go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (75 miles away) and go hiking. Either way, nature is my natural relaxer.
Thanks for the great quote LtCol Charlie Brown.

I hope and pray that the atmosphere in your household is both peaceful and joyous and that it is tranquil in your neighborhood. I expect you are thankful for trustworthy law and order officers who do their best to keep the peace. Hopefully you and those you love realize that peace is not based on tranquility. Rather peace is best exhibited in the midst of the storms of life. I certainly hope that every person in your household has a personal relationship and faith in God. ‘Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.’ [Matthew 10:34-38 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown

Thank YOU, LORD for the covenant of peace established by the atonement of Jesus the Christ and YOU making us aware of that YOU are our advocate and YOUIR thoughts are for our well-being.
(1) ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord thoughts of peace and not of evil. [Jeremiah 29:11 ESV]
(2) 'For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,' says the LORD, who has compassion on you.' [Isaiah 54:10 ESV]
I pray for an increase of compassion and endurance for parents, head of households, neighborhood leaders, lay leaders and other trustworthy leaders in this month of March 2021. For those who seek tranquility instead of peace in the storms and downtimes of life, they need to look for another avocation instead of leadership. 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.' [John 14:27 ESV]
I lift deployed service members, police men and women, investigators, EMT personnel, medical triage and infectious disease specialists and other focused on defending our nation and protecting citizens, visitors, and others as well as our family members to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU bless each with sufficient discernment and endurance to do what needs to be done. I pray that YOU empower each one to rest peacefully and securely – especially the young children. ‘For thus the Lord said to me: “Go, set a watchman; let him announce what he sees. “Upon a watchtower I stand, O Lord, continually by day, and at my post I am stationed whole nights.’ [Isaiah 6, 8 ESV]
I pray for peace and joy for widows, widowers, orphans, outcasts of society, the homeless, the recently terminated from employment and those recently evicted from home and/or business. LORD I am thankful that YOU are the strong advocate for widows, widowers, orphans, and the poor. Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.' [Isaiah 1:17 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members slept well Sunday night and awoke refreshed and healthy on Monday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Right on, sir! The Moon has a Sea of Tranquility, we each need one, too. One of my "Seas of Tranquility" is in the picture. Another is the music in the video. (my kids call it Dad's elevator music)

1SG Steven Imerman - Our sportsman's club has a trap shoot area and they're very active. For me, I'm a pistol shooter and used to shoot in police competitions. Since I carry daily, range time is as essential as it is relaxing & gratifying. I shoot some rifle practice as well since I have several "assault" weapons. The only time I shoot shotgun though is to cycle through older ammo supplies.
We have SOME competition shooting at our club though it's not tactical competition.

I have the same interests and hope all of us "gun lovers" can weather the Democratic anti-gun storm heading our way. Good luck to all of us.

Good “Sunday” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader on this beautiful sunny day in SW Florida...

It is “Tranquility Day!” That is exactly the type of day it is where I am at... How about your day...

“It is neither wealth nor splendor, but tranquility and occupation which give you happiness.” - Thomas Jefferson

“Acceptance of others, their looks, their behaviors, their beliefs, bring you an inner peace and tranquility instead of anger and resentment.” - Anonymous

“It is in your power to withdraw yourself whenever you desire. Perfect tranquility within consists in the good ordering of the mind, the realm of your own.” - Marcus Aurelius

“One day you’ll look back and realize that you worried too much about things that don’t really matter.” - Anonymous

“The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater his success, his influence, his power for good. Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom.” - James Allen

“When you’re at peace with your life and in a state of tranquility, you actually send out a vibration of energy that impacts all living creatures.” - Wayne Dyer

And what of those who lead us?

“A leader needs to be in that state of being tranquil during downtime. He or she can be amped up and ready to take on the world every day, but they need that time of calmness, peacefulness, quiet, and tranquility to re-charge their batteries!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Excellent, and it's correct - anxiety IS a choice, but also a result of poor decisions which can often be avoided with some forethought. Tranquility definitely trumps anxiety in any case.
