'Vaughn Meader was very popular before JFK was killed. When asked about Meader's impersonation, JFK said he thought it sounded more like RFK. After the assassination of JFK, Meader's personal appearances were cancelled, his books and videos were pulled from the shelves, and he faded into obscurity. He eventually returned to his native Maine where he resumed performing music and managed a pub.
