SGT (Join to see) - But the basic premise of your premise is not so. State legislatures call the shots in a mere two out of 50 states. If for a moment we assume that the GOP is closing polling stations to disenfranchise voters, the nefarious actors are County clerks, county election boards, or municipal councils/election boards. In my opinion, it is far easier to hold local officials accountable than state or federal officials.
In addition, Many states of the states governed by the Shelby ruling (for that matter almost all states) have gone to voting centers where there is no requirement to report to a specific polling place to vote in person, or is there no longer a requirement to justify absentee ballots. While it admittedly doesn't apply to every person, but any person with a mail box is no farther away from voting than their own mailbox.

Maj John Bell - And yet polling places are closing down in many minority neighborhoods. States control their own Federal elections. Is it merely coincidental that most of the poll closings are in Republican controlled states?

SGT (Join to see) - I'm trying to address your assertions as the come up. You grandmother doesn't have to have a driver's license. EVERY state, district, and territory of the United States offers a "walker's" ID. When someone else trotted out this claim that minorities, non-driver's, etc. etc. can get driver's license I researched it. About 2 years ago the most expensive walker's ID was $15, and for anyone who was on state assistance the fee was waived in almost every state. I'm not going to do every state again, But pick any Red state you want and I'll get the details with sources.
In addition every state has some form of a Council on aging. If someone is elderly and confined to their home, the council on aging will get the person top the ID issuing authority, or bring the issuing authority to them. In Michigan, the council on aging visits adult care facilities on request and quarterly just to get ID issued and help the elderly access benefits and entitlements.

Ma'am, I can't believe you endorse that thought pattern. I am no fan of the Dem's, but what Trump was doing was a kin to third world dictator. Shut down post offices, block mail in ballots, ask voting officials to find votes? Gimme me a break, that is not someone I want as our POTUS.

So easy and right. Thanks for posting Mr. Trump's views on election protection.
